Join the Lighthouse Labs 21-Day JavaScript Coding Challenge!

Lighthouse Labs is running the 21-Day Coding Challenge again in November!

In May, 110 of us completed all 21 challenges, and many of us didn’t know any JavaScript when we started!

If you want to learn some JavaScript in a fun, supportive environment, sign up below.

What is it?

It is a 21-Day Challenge for beginners to learn how to code in Javascript by Lighthouse Labs. Last time, the challenge was space theme. We wrote functions to operate our spaceship to land back on earth safely.

When is it?

The challenge runs from Nov 1 – 21, 2019.

What if I don’t know any Javascript?

Perfect. This challenge is designed for complete beginners. You’ll have a team to answer any questions you have! Seriously, is there a better way to learn?

Why Should I Join?

  1. Learn JavaScript in a fun, supportive environment.
Team members are always there to answer your questions. Depending on what questions are asked, I also make videos to clarify concepts to help you solve the next challenges.
  2. Build a coding habit by solving a problem for 15-30 minutes a day.
If you think you have no time to code, do the bite-sized challenges, and you’ll be writing real, useful functions in 3 weeks!
  3. Review fundamental concepts.
Even if you’re a experienced developer, it’s helpful to go back to basics!
  4. AND there are amazing prizes (for Canadian residents).
Anyone can join, but only Canadian residents can win prizes.
See the full contest rules here.

Can I join if I’m not from Canada?

Yes, this challenge is open to anyone. However, only Canadians can win prizes due to government regulations.

Okay, I’m in! How do I join?

Sign up below, and you’ll get all the instructions to joining the Women in Web Dev team, the Slack channel and resources to prepare!

Please note that Lighthouse Labs is the organization in charge of this challenge.
